Support our teaching project
MECANDS is an English school in the community of La Trinchera, in Jarabacoa, La Vega, where students of all ages can begin their journey in the acquisition of English as a second language. Based on the Cambridge resources, such as Interchange, Kid´s Box, Passages and much more. This allows MECANDS to guide our students in each facet of the learning process through new and diverse instructional methods, online courses and homework, with constant upkeep throughout the week. We focus on giving each student an all-round opportunity to dive into the world of English in an exciting and prosperous way.
We aspire to be a school that specializes in pedagogical strategies and linguistic growth, transforming how the language is taught, and allowing students to learn in the most comfortable and natural way. Because of this, we center our lessons on addressing each of the different types of intelligences in mind, as well as the different types of needs and challenges that may arise. We offer books, workbooks, online support, instructional videos and audio tutorials, individualized attention in the classroom, and much more. We wish to offer students from all economic and academic backgrounds a chance to enter the world of English communication in the best way possible.
There are many children that want to take part in this learning process but cannot afford the program or the materials we offer. You can become a child´s patron, aiding them economically with 35 dollars a month. This helps us since we can offer them these scholarships so they may attend the lessons without any worry of missing out in the support material or books, or the monthly payment of the instruction. This economical funding allows not only the students to benefit, but the teachers as well, since it gives us access to pursue academic growth and certification in more areas. We want to eventually branch out towards SAT and TOEFL preparation and we can achieve that much quicker with your help. Please consider donating and becoming part of our journey towards creating a bilingual community.
